What's another four inches of snow? Doesn't stop Teddy from his morning walk. The going was a little slow but we took time to pause and enjoy the quiet eerie beauty of a Christmas Eve morning before the arrival of the snow plows. Let's go home, cookies, coffee and a warm cat are waiting!

Santa Visits Regions

Santa Teddy visited Regions Hospital today and stopped in on the 9th floor to say hello to one of his favorite nurses.
"I saw MJ kissing Santa Claws!"

Teddy and Emily

Winter is cuddle time. Teddy and Emily love the blue heated blankie seen below and will tolerate a fair amount of snuggling to share it. In the picture above Teddy is seen on his favorite chair and in the other pictures Emily proves that she still has quite the playful side...especially if the gas fireplace is on and there's a camera pointed at her lovely self.
She is a good girl and loves her Ted very much.

New Boots

On a chilly afternoon Teddy is eager to go for a walk and happy to show off his new boots. Although they are a little tricky to get on right now I know the process will improve with practice and with a long Minnesota winter and many many walks ahead we'll have plenty of opportunities to perfect getting them on.
I like how the camera's flash makes the reflective bands on his boots and coat glow in dusk's low light, especially in the picture below where steady and sure Teddy heads across the snow for home.

Thanksgiving Delight!

What a great Thanksgiving! Seven people, two cats, two dogs and not a scowl or snarl the whole day!

In the pictures below Bonnie checks the dressing under Maple's watchful gaze and both dogs are patiently waiting for Gerry to
start carving the delicious turkey.

The table was beautiful and full of wonderful food and afterwards there was plenty of time for dessert and Teddy's sweet kisses. Maple was exhausted, full (as were we all) and ready to go home!
What a lovely time.

Mississippi Rambling

On Thursday Teddy and I spent the afternoon exploring the paths alongside and below East River Road south of
Marshall in St. Paul. As far as I know it was Teddy's first time that close to the river and he loved it. His bravery was tested when I decided to go back up to the road on the huge wooden
steps clinging to the cliffs beneath Franklin Ave. The steps are open in the back and were pretty scary for Teddy to tackle. They are very stable, though, and after much encouragement and praise we made slow but steady progress and by the top he was wagging his tail and smiling. So proud of himself! And why not? He did come from Kansas, after all, where there are no basements and I don't think he ever saw a set of steps until I adopted him three years ago. Good boy!

Goldzilla 2010

Saturday marked our 4th Ragom Picnic, now renamed Goldzilla...3rd one with the dogs. Although the day dawned cool and damp the sun peeked out early and it was delightful weather for walking, swimming (only Neakail participated in that event), dog watching, shopping, listening to music and enjoying the foster parade and various fun contests. It's great to be outside all day with best friends, beautiful dogs and one adventure after another!

Teddy at Regions Hospital

Teddy's work at Regions is rewarding, heartwarming and fun. Here is one of his favorite staffers getting QT (quality time) with the Cutie. We started volunteering at Regions Hospital in April of this year and Teddy has already completed nearly 50 hours of work.
